Off to San Fran again at the asscrack of dawn tomorrow. Prolly back on Monday evening. *sighs* I’m starting to think I need a travel section, but I’ll deal with that later. I hate packing.
At least I’ll get to see my crows again.

Maui — the first hours.
After leaving my home locale where it was a lovely 24 degrees, several hours and two planes later I find myself approaching Maui just as the sun begins to set [around 6:30 local time]. The flight came in through silky clouds; wraith-like in the way they snaked about the wings of the plane during descent. Hypnotic. A soft rain was falling; making rainbow curtains to pass through which were pierced by the setting sun and balanced by the sliver shimmer of the ocean below. (more…)

I recently went north to put a pistol to my head in the snow. However, I found myself instead watching cartoons in a hotel room off the interstate. On my way up I passed an exit sign bearing the same name as my elementary school, which I found odd. I mused thoughtfully about other strange road signs whilst weaving in and out of traffic at about 90 mph. I remember seeing signs with evocative names [well, at least evocative to me anyway] like Tank Farm Rd., or even the mysterious Toad Suck Park exit during previous road trips.
I watched my odometer roll over to 100,000 miles on the top of a pseudo-mountain. Ah well, it’s not the years, it’s the mileage, I suppose.
I still haven’t found a satisfactory way to wrap text around an image using this thing. *grumbles to self and wanders off*
